Join us for “Bridging Academics and Careers: A Collaborative Advising Approach” on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the Library (Building 1L), Room 203 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. RSVP.

This in-person event will feature four presenters: Professors Sarah Zelikovitz, Ping Shi, Tatiana Anderson, and Academic/Career Manager Kristi Brescia. Together, they will share how student success has been redefined through the integration of academic advising and career readiness, and strengthened by close collaboration between advisers and faculty. Kristi Brescia will focus on the career-infused degree map, originally developed in the Computer Science Department and the career-connect advising model. Professors Sarah Zelikovitz, Ping Shi, and Tatiana Anderson will discuss how faculty can embed career readiness within the classroom and advising, offering practical strategies to support students’ academic and career development. Participants will leave with actionable insights for adapting these models to enhance student outcomes in any discipline.
