CSI-TV presents another installment of The Arts at CSI Presents:, this time featuring the amazing sounds of the Repertory Jazz Combo, a Midtern Recital directed by Vince Guarna, performing an exhilarating hour set at the Center for the Arts’ Recital Hall, today at 3pm.
CSI features two student jazz ensembles, the big band and this afternoon’s small group–a quartet of guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Playing arrangements of jazz classics the group features music students who are mastering the art of jazz improvisation. “Hang onto your hat, ’cause the notes will fly!” said one listener on her way out of the Recital Hall at their last concert.
