On Wednesday, June 21, CSI celebrated the start of summer with Daylight Hour, sponsored by the Office of Sustainability. Conducted from 12p-1pm outside of the Performing and Creative Arts Center overlooking the Great Lawn, participants were able to interact with games and activities, leaving their offices powered-down in an effort to conserve energy.

The Office of Sustainability conducts the event each year, and just like in the past, this year’s event was a rousing success, earning the Spirit Award from Daylight Hour. Last year, CSI took top prize in the Work from Home category. The Spirit Award is described as “awarded to an office that went above and beyond to celebrate energy conservation in their office space. The award rewards those who most embody the collective power of the daylight campaign and inspire further action,” according to Daylight Hour.

More information can be obtained on the Daylight Hour Website.
