The College of Staten Island is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Anderson as the new Director of the Staten Island Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Michael brings a wealth of experience in marketing, business development, and community engagement to lead the center’s mission of empowering local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Michael’s prior roles include leadership positions at the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, where he coordinated outreach to thousands of local businesses, and marketing associate work at a nationally recognized wealth management firm. His collaborative approach and dedication to the local economy align perfectly with the SBDC’s commitment to delivering customized, impactful solutions to the region’s business community.
The Staten Island SBDC offers a comprehensive suite of no-cost services designed to support small and medium enterprises at every stage of growth. These include expert business planning and writing assistance, cost analysis and financial management, procurement support with BidMatch services, disaster recovery resources, educational seminars, marketing and social media planning, high-tech startup support through the CSI Incubator, veterans’ services, and much more.
