The CUNY Climate Consortium (C3) recently made the College of Staten Island’s Office of the Dean of Humanities & Social Sciences “World on Fire” lecture series, a part of their C3/Climate Initiatives Around CUNY campaign.  September 16’s lecture, “Climate of Publicity,” featuring guest speaker Melissa Aronczyk, Professor of Media Studies in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University, was recorded and is available for viewing now (see below).

The C3 mission is to co-produce innovative and just climate knowledge and solutions through integrated research, education, workforce development, and community engagement with an emphasis on coastal urban communities. They leverage CUNY’s diverse expertise and resources to coordinate a university-wide focus on innovative technologies, nature-based strategies, policy solutions, and community partnerships to build resilience and sustainability in New York City and beyond.

CSI’s “World on Fire” series features lectures from across academic disciplines to explore important topics impacting our society. Look for more installments in the series soon.
