The spirit of service and community was on full display this past Sunday, as Nursing students from the College of Staten Island volunteered at the 2025 New York City Marathon. Representing CSI in force, students were stationed at three key locations—two in Brooklyn and one at the starting line in Fort Wadsworth—providing care, encouragement, and medical support to thousands of runners throughout the day.

For many participants, the most meaningful moments came late in the evening, as the final runners made their way past the tents, completing the race past sunset.

CSI proudly recognizes the dedication of its Nursing students for exemplifying the program’s core values of care, community engagement, and commitment to excellence—both in the classroom and across New York City’s five boroughs.
