As New York State employees, all CUNY employees (both part-time and full-time) are required to receive annual ethics training. This includes both adjuncts and graduate assistants. Importantly, if you are new to CUNY, you must complete a live training within 90 days of beginning employment.

As a reminder, you must complete a live Comprehensive Ethics Training Course (CETC) every other year. During the years in between, the training requirement can be satisfied via online on-demand training provided by the Commission for Lobbying in Government (COELIG). (NOTE: To register for on-demand training, you must have taken live CETC training the previous year, or the system will not permit you to enroll. In order to register, you will also need to provide your NYS ID number. This IS NOT your EMPLID but, rather, a number beginning with the letter “N,” which can be found on your pay stub.)

This year, the Ethics Officers from the College of Staten Island, The Graduate Center (which also serves Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, School of Labor and Urban Studies, and Macaulay Honors College) and Brooklyn College have joined forces to offer monthly live CETC trainings. You may register and attend any session (see the online list for upcoming dates and times). Click on any session to register. You will receive a Zoom link closer to the training date.

If you are not available to attend any of the sessions listed online, please note that the Commission has additional training dates. To enroll – please use the  SETA Class Registration Self Enrollment Form. Ethics Officers cannot enroll you in any sessions listed on the Commission’s page.
