The College of Staten Island will host a pair of virtual information sessions for prospective students interested in its new four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the program and admissions process, the sessions will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 6pm and Monday, March 23 at 6pm, both via Zoom.
The launch of CSI’s four-year nursing degree marks a significant milestone for the College and reflects a growing commitment to expanding high-demand, workforce-ready academic offerings. The new Bachelor’s program positions CSI to play an essential role in preparing the next generation of nurses through a rigorous, accessible, and student-centered curriculum. Interest in the program has been strong since its announcement, underscoring the excitement surrounding this important addition to CSI’s academic portfolio.
During the sessions, faculty and program representatives will walk attendees through the structure of the four-year nursing curriculum, prerequisite coursework, and key admissions requirements. Prospective students will also learn how the program prepares graduates for licensure and careers in today’s evolving healthcare landscape, as well as what sets CSI’s nursing program apart within the CUNY system and beyond. A detailed presentation will be shared, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions directly of the program team.
The application process is currently open, with the first cohort of students entering the program for the fall 2027 semester.
The info sessions are open to all students considering applying to the program, including current CSI students and external applicants. Advance registration is required. Interested participants may register online. Given the proximity of the session dates, early registration is strongly encouraged.
