The Center for Global Engagement is pleased to share the announcement of a special funding opportunity through the Taiwanese Academic Partnership program:

The Taiwan Academic Partnership (TAP) initiative aims to foster international collaboration by connecting globally based scholars with Taiwan’s academic community. The program supports projects that address pressing global challenges, promote innovation, and generate high-impact academic outcomes, while strengthening institutional capacity and knowledge exchange.

TAP encourages proposals in the following fields:

1.      Emerging Technologies (e.g. semiconductors, AI, quantum computing)

2.      Environmental Sustainability and Climate Actions

3.      Public Health and Biomedical Sciences

4.      Social Innovation and Global Governance

5.      Humanities and Arts

We particularly seek to engage scholars with existing ties to Taiwan—especially early-career researchers of Taiwanese origin—who are interested in building long-term, meaningful academic collaborations.
