As many of you are aware, the New York City area is currently experiencing reduced air quality due to smoke from the ongoing Canadian wildfires. While we continue to monitor conditions and follow guidance from public health officials, we want to ensure that members of our campus community have access to protective face masks if they choose to use one.
Face masks are available at the Office of Public Safety, centrally located in Building 2A, Room 108. If it is not convenient for you to stop by, you may also call us at 718.982.2111 or email me at my below noted email and I will be happy to arrange to have masks delivered to you on campus.
Individuals with asthma, heart or lung disease, or other respiratory conditions may be more sensitive to the current air quality and should consider limiting prolonged outdoor activity when possible.
The health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remain our priority. We will continue to monitor conditions and share important updates as needed.
Stay safe.
