We are receiving reports of a phishing scam targeting members of our community.
Individuals are receiving text messages claiming that their email account will be deleted unless they complete a form. The message includes a link that directs recipients to a Google Form designed to appear legitimate and may attempt to collect personal or account information. Please do not click the link, complete the form, or provide your username, password, or other personal information. These messages are fraudulent and are not an official communication from the College or CUNY.
If you receive a message like this:
- Do not click any links or open attachments.
- Do not enter your username, password, or other sensitive information.
- Delete the message or report it as phishing/spam.
- If you clicked the link or submitted any information, please contact the IT Help Desk immediately so we can help secure your account.
Please remain vigilant and remember that legitimate email account notices will not ask you to verify your account through an unsolicited text message or unfamiliar form.
Thank you for helping us protect our community and our information.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@csi.cuny.edu.
