Students across campus were eager to participate in the Club Harvest event, which was recently held in the Campus Center. Organized by CSI’s Student Government, 1C was transformed into a place to celebrate Halloween and fall.
Many different clubs were in attendance, hoping to spur their interests. Some of the participating organizations were the Spanish Club, Women in Business Club, Pre-Med Society, Pre-Dental Society, Students for Justice in Palestine, CSI Entrepreneur Society, Math Club, and more.
The event began with students checking in and then receiving a paper courtesy of Student Government. The goal of the paper was for students to visit several clubs that were a part of the event. To make things easier, it was recommended that students write down the names of the clubs they visited. With every club that participants visited, they could learn more about them, get some prizes, and finally receive a stamp.
The clubs went all out with festivities. Many were in amazing costumes and some matched those of their fellow club members. On the paper, students were also able to cast a vote for best-decorated table/group costume. It was clear that every club was trying its best to win the most votes.
Once participants visited several clubs and voted, they would be able to go back to the Student Government table and get a Club Harvest ticket. With the ticket, they would be able to get some food, drinks, and even more prizes.
The participants were also able to go outside in front of 1C to decorate their own pumpkins. There were various pumpkins spread around the front of the building, creating the effect of being in a pumpkin patch. Then they were able to sit on some benches and decorate pumpkins with stickers and markers. This station was popular with many students, alongside friends or by themselves, relaxing and being creative.
The Club Harvest was a huge success and those who were in attendance were able to enjoy the seasonal festivities while learning more about campus life.
