Mother Nature has hit the Northeast again, and that usually means one thing at the College of Staten Island: the spring athletic schedule will be affected. The CSI Men’s Baseball program announces a pair of weather-related changes while Men’s Tennis also sees a time change and possibly more changes along the way.
On the baseball diamond, the Dolphins will see their single non-conference affair against New Jersey City University, scheduled to be played in Jersey City, New Jersey at 4pm, washed away due to the rain/snow mix. A makeup date and time has not been scheduled at this time. The Dolphins have also announced a make-up of their rained-out contest on Monday against Purchase State College. The Dolphins and Panthers, which have now been rained out twice, will try for a third time on Friday, April 1, at 4pm at the CSI Baseball Complex. Originally scheduled as a nine-inning single game, the teams will now try and play two seven-innings games instead.
In men’s tennis, in anticipation of the weekend weather looming, Sunday’s non-conference test against St. Joseph’s College of Patchogue, scheduled to be played at 1pm at the CSI Tennis Center, will now be advanced to an 11am start instead.
Tomorrow’s slate of contests are still on at this time. CSI Softball is set to travel to Farmingdale State for a 3pm doubleheader, while tennis is scheduled to host NYC College of Technology at 3:30pm.
