Alberto Zambenedetti (Lecturer) is a PhD candidate in Italian Studies from New York University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science and a Master of Arts in Cinema Studies from the Tisch School of the Arts. He has taught Italian language at all levels and in virtually all formats and environments, both in the United States and in Italy. His areas of expertise are Italian cinema, issues of transnationalism, globalization, multiculturalism, and migration studies applied to cinema and television. While at NYU, Professor Zembenedetti has worked with the freshmen scholars of the Presidential Honors Program and served as a liaison between the Study Abroad office and the Italian Consulate in New York City for three years. Professor Zembenedetti has recently published two book chapters and several journal articles. His articles also appear in magazines and on the Web.
