The Young Latinas Leadership Institute is now accepting scholarship applications.
The Young Latinas Leadership Institute is dedicated to helping Latina students become professionally skilled and socially conscious, ultimately helping them to become successful leaders in the community. Toward this end, the program provides an annually renewed $1,000 scholarship.
Eligible candidates should currently be freshman Latina students, and citizens or permanent residents, who can demonstrate an interest in and commitment to community service. Scholarship recipients will be required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
