Women’s Tennis suffered a 9-0 loss to William Paterson on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play at the CSI Tennis Center. The Dolphins drop to a 0-2 record to start the season.
In No. 2 singles, Ilona Stoyko gave opponent Samantha Miller strong competition after taking the second set 6-4, despite losing the first, 2-6. Miller captured the win wit a 10-6 finish in the final set.
Over in No. 3 singles play, Jean Baak struggled to capture the first set win falling to Lauren Abate, 6-2. She then pulled through in the second with a 6-2 win. The two battled in the final set, however, Baak suffered the loss, 11-9.
The Dolphins will host CCNY on Wednesday, September 12, as they open conference play at 4:00 pm.
