How would you like to be paid to receive professional experience in your field of study before you graduate?
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is an association representing colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher-education success. In an effort to improve students’ access to quality educational opportunities, HACU offers internships and scholarships to qualified students at HACU-member colleges. (CSI is a member of HACU.) The program places students in positions with federal agencies and corporations across the country. Paid internships are available during the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
The HACU National Internship Program is open to all students, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, age, faith, etc.
To be eligible for the program, students must have completed their freshman year, have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
The application deadline for Spring 2013 is Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2012.
For more information on the program and to start an application, visit the HACU Website.
Students interested in applying may contact Dr. Geoff Hempill at geoffrey.hempill@csi.cuny.edu or 718.982.2301 for assistance with their applications. Further information can also be found in the Career and Scholarship Center in Building 1A, Room 105.
