The Dean’s Symposium is entering its second year with events that bring the exciting research underway on campus to a wider public. All events will take place in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Recital Hall at 2:30pm.
The first symposium will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 3 with a presentation on immigration, followed by a reception. Dean Interim Nan Sussman will discuss her research on return migration. She will be joined by Professors Jane Marcus-Delgado and Cindy Wong, speaking on respectively, Latin American migration and Global Chinatowns.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, members of the Psychology Department will discuss their work on childhood development and movement, and on Thursday Dec. 5, two philosophers will discuss happiness and government obligation. We expect these to be lively and stimulating afternoons.
