The College of Staten Island’s women’s soccer team is back in action today at the CSI Soccer Complex in Staten Island, NY, against Mt. St. Vincent for the 13th time in school history. The Dolphins come into today’s match with a 1-2-1 overall record, while the visiting Dolphins come in with a perfect 3-0 record. CSI however, holds the all-time record between these two teams which stands at 11-1.
Mt. St. Vincent is coming off a huge 9-0 win over fellow CUNYAC participants John Jay College. The Dolphins will hope to continue their dominance of CUNYAC opponents today when they go up against the College of Staten Island. CSI will have to contain the visiting Dolphins’ striker Alicia Forgione as she leads her team with five goals and will look to add to that this afternoon.
The College of Staten Island is coming off their first win of the season which took place on Saturday where they were able to beat Purchase College by a score of 3-0. The visiting Dolphins will be the last competition CSI has before they start CUNYAC play on Wednesday the 17th against Medgar Evers College.
