The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team is in action tonight as they travel to John Jay College to take on the Bloodhounds. The Dolphins are 36-15 all-time against the Bloodhounds and have won four of the last five meetings. CSI will look to bounce back from their second loss in a row due to cold shooting from the floor.
The Bloodhounds are 1-5 overall this season and 1-2 in the CUNYAC. John Jay is averaging 52.3 points per game while they are allowing 73.2. Sophomore forward, Brianna Cunningham, is leading the team in scoring with 17 points per game and will look to exploit the Dolphins defense tonight in their home court.
The Dolphins will hope they can turn their luck around as their shots haven’t been falling as of late and have been turning the ball over more than usual. Freshman forward, Christina Pasaturo, will lead the Dolphins in scoring with hopes to break their losing streak and start a winning streak before they head up to Springfield, MA, for their tournament on New Years Eve.
