The College of Staten Island is on familiar ground this morning as part of the CUNYAC Championship, their biggest race of the season. The CSI men are the two-time defending champions and the women are hoping to improve on their runner-up status from a year ago. The women’s 6k race will start at 9:30am, with the men following suit in their 8k installment at 10:30am.

Players To Watch (Women): Senior Victoria Barry will be expected to lead the way this season after a fine 2015 campaign. Freshman Kristina Morel has cut her times drastically over the last few meets and will be looking to crack near the top of the field. Look for Rebecca Vidal and Frances Gonzalez to also sine today.

(Men): Andrew Scharf has been the consistent threat all season and is one of the leading candidates to win the race outright. He will closely followed by fellow sophomores Liam McMunn and Matthew Day, who are enjoying tremendous seasons for CSI this year. Kenneth Morella, Khaled Halwani and Samuel Obisanya will all battle for race points as CSi looks to win their third-straight championship.
