All-Time Series:  First Ever Meeting
Players to Watch (CSI):  CSI received a double-double from junior Christina Pasaturo, as she notched 12 points and 11 rebounds in the tough loss to Wagner on Tuesday after leading the Dolphins in scoring a year ago.  Samantha Flecker finished second in scoring last year and led all CSI scorers with 18 points to go with 9 rebounds.  Look for Angelique Price to have a major impact.  The sophomore was an efficient 4-9 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc for her 15 points on Tuesday.  Interior play will be key today, so look for Rosa Perone to be a target.  Perone scored eight points with three rebounds on Tuesday, but was limited to just 13 minutes due to foul trouble.
Players to Watch (WNE): Senior forwards Paige Young and Emily Anderson are imposing inside threats and are getting it done for the Bears so far.  Young is averaging 17.5 points through two games adding 11.0 rebounds per.  Anderson has started the season strong, notching 16 points in each of WNE’s first two games, but she’s also been limited to short minutes due to foul woes, having logged just 22 minutes in each contest.  Meghan Orbann is a downtown threat coming off of the bench who has taken 12 shots from beyond the arc and is averaging 7.5 points through WNE’s couple of games so far.
News and Notes:  Tonight marks the first-ever meeting between the two schools in their history.  The Golden Bears play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and they’ve shared no common opponents in the last two years coming into this showdown.  The Bears finished 19-11 a year ago and fell in the CCC Championship Game a year ago and advanced all the way to the ECAC Championship as well where they lost by a single basket to Keene State.  It was likewise for CSI, who fell in the CUNYAC Championship Semifinal round and then advanced to the ECAC Championship and fell by just four points to conference foe Brooklyn College.  The Golden Bears are propelled by five seniors after losing four seniors to graduation last year.  The Dolphins do not boast any seniors in their lineup.
