Please join the Friends of CSI for a Literary Brunch in support of student scholarships, featuring The Soldier That Wagged Her Tail: A Black Veteran’s Story of WWII by Dolores N. Morris.
Come hear the story of William A. Morris, Jr., the author’s father, and his service in an all-Black Regiment during WWII. At the core of this soldier’s story, there is a miracle in its unique heroine, a dog named Trixie. He saved her life and she saved his from Omaha Beach to the Battle of the Bulge.
The presentation will feature WWII artifacts and readings by the author and CSI student-veterans.
The brunch will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21 in the Campus Center (Building 1P) Green Dolphin Lounge from noon to 3:00pm.
Admission is $75, payable to the CSI Foundation, for the brunch and program.
Please RSVP by Tuesday, Oct. 16. Proceeds will benefit scholarships.
