CSI is producing an exciting video and social media campaign to celebrate this year’s graduating class, who now more than ever will appreciate a “salute” from the College in recognition of their achievements during this unprecedented and challenging time.
President Fritz will virtually “kick off” this video, to be released on what would have been Commencement Day, Thursday, May 28. This video will have a positive, upbeat theme to congratulate our graduates, which will conclude with a message by Student Government President—and graduating senior—Fatu Amara.
In between these video messages, we will feature still photos of faculty and staff holding signs of “congrats” to our graduates.
Here is how you can help! Please send us a still photograph of you holding up a sign with a short, (super short), clearly written greeting, such as “Congrats, grads!”, “You did it!”, “Way to go!”, or similar, making sure that your face is not obstructed. In keeping with a five- to six-minute video, we may not be able to use all submissions in the video, others may be used for the social media campaign, but we will use as many as we can.
Signs
The signs do not need to be fancy. Legibility is key, so plain paper with Sharpie marker or other very legible medium are welcome. Hernan Green and Tony Gallego help to demonstrate the “do this, not that” examples here:
Helpful Hints:
· Take the photo at a medium distance, or at close range.
· Do not position the subject in front of the window, or the light source. Let the photographer be in front of the light source.
· If taking photos outside, find a shady area to avoid hard shadows.
All images should be sent toTony Gallego no later than Monday, May 11.
Thank you, in advance, for helping to “send off” our graduates with a positive message from CSI.
