Most of our materials are also available 24/7 through our databases, open-access platforms, and ebooks. Access to these online resources are available using your SLAS/FLAS log in. If you would like to request Remote Library Instruction for your class, please fill out the online request form. Library faculty can provide a variety of synchronous and asynchronous forms of instruction, depending on your needs and research assignments.

One challenge discussed in a previous email is the lack of access to print materials, especially textbooks, while the Library is closed. In addition to adopting OER, we also hope that faculty assigned or will allow use of older editions of textbooks that can be purchased at a much lower cost. Faculty can also scan and upload required chapters of their assigned textbooks into Blackboard using the guidance outlined by the CUNY Copyright Committee. We will do our best to purchase electronic alternatives to print material, but unfortunately, e-textbooks are not readily available to libraries for institutional licenses. See our statement online.
