Over this long weekend, which culminates with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 18, 2021, we should take the time to reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King’s values and beliefs, as well as his tireless and courageous efforts in leading the Civil Rights Movement.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man of great honor whose powerful words of wisdom still resonate with us today. At a time when we face so much turmoil in our Country, it is helpful to remember Dr. Martin Luther King’s inspiring words as we think about our future and contemplate how to move forward. I hope you will join me in using this time to reflect on his words and work, and how he changed so much for so many with hope, courage, love, and a dream. We have come so far, but still have a ways to go.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
