It is with great sorrow that the College announces the death of Asiael de Guzman Rizado, a student at CSI since Fall 2018. Asiael majored in Communications with a concentration in Corporate Communications, and a minor in Spanish, and also took courses in Cinema Studies and Marketing. He is remembered by his instructors as exceptionally creative, energetic, and eager to learn.
Viewing will be held at the Michael J. Grant Funeral Home, 3640 Route 112, Coram, NY 11727, on May 27 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28 from 9:00am to 10:30am, at Hope Lutheran Church, 46 Dare Road, Selden, NY 11784. Burial at Washington Memorial Park, 855 Canal Road, Mt. Sinai, NY 11766 from 11:00am to noon, will be followed immediately by a luncheon and celebration of Asiael’s life at the Hope Lutheran Church in Selden.
The Department of Media Culture and the College extend their sincere condolences to Asiael’s parents, Pastor Reggie and Emma Rizado, and to all who knew this talented young man.
