Join us on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 12:20pm to 2:15pm for a virtual presentation by anthropologist Dr. Christopher Santiago based on his 2012-2014 fieldwork in Cajamarca, Peru, presenting the struggle of local community members against the Conga gold mining project, with a focus on the peasants’ arts of resistance such as singing, dream narration, and animistic stories of the landscape.
