Have you ever contemplated developing your own faculty-led study abroad program? These very special programs allow faculty to travel abroad with CSI students, exposing them to the larger world of ideas and concepts in your area of expertise, exploring the globe, and expanding their horizons.
The Center for Global Engagement, through a U.S. Department of State grant, is offering a special workshop on Developing Faculty-led programs abroad. It is designed to give CSI faculty the tools to imagine, develop, and conduct a faculty-led program abroad. In addition, faculty members who have completed the workshop are eligible to tap into funding for international travel to explore and further develop a program.
Even if you have experience in running a faculty-led program, this workshop will be useful, as we will cover topics ranging from idea generation to finding on-the-ground support to financial management of programs. In short, it will help you navigate the process.
We are holding our next workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 15 from noon until 3:00 and invite you to participate. The workshop will be held in-person at the CSI Faculty Center. Please let us know if you can attend this inaugural workshop. You can RSVP for the workshop online.
Thank you and we hope to see you at the workshop.
