The Bertha Harris Women’s Center is thrilled to be able to organize a Toy and Gift Drive to support Safe Horizons. All donations will benefit Safe Horizon clients and children whose lives have been disrupted by violence and abuse. We invite the donation of new toys and gifts for infants through high school age children – but please no guns, no war games, and no violent toys.
The 2023 Holiday Toy Drive marks the renewal of a multi-decade partnership between the Bertha Harris Women’s Center and Safe Horizon that was interrupted by the pandemic. Safe Horizon is the nation’s leading victim assistance organization, operating a network of programs across New York City communities and systems, including Staten Island. Safe Horizon works with survivors of all forms of violence, including domestic violence and racism, to move from crisis to confidence.
By participating in the Toy Drive, you help demonstrate the big-heartedness of our CSI community as we share our joys and blessings with others. In addition to the Toy Drive, the Bertha Harris student interns will be holding Bake Sales at the Campus Center (Building 1C) on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and Tuesday, Dec. 5 to raise funds to supplement donations to the Toy Drive.
