Please join us for a film screening and discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 2:30pm for our November Monthly Movie in the Library (Building 1L), Room 103. We are pleased to present Upstream, Downriver (2022, 32 minutes), a documentary directed by Maggie Burnette Stogner that highlights 50 years of the Clean Water Act and the critical issues we still face today. This film takes viewers into the heart of the battle for water justice. Powerful stories with frontline community activists are interwoven with historical context about landmark regulations that significantly reduced water pollution in the U.S. but failed to serve disadvantaged communities that are hardest hit by today’s climate crisis.
