The College of Staten Island Women’s Flag Football program officially introduced Frank Jennaco as their Head Coach earlier this month, and the program will soon be taking another major step in furthering the growth of Women’s Flag Football at the College of Staten Island. On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the Staten Island College Showcase will be hosted at the College of Staten Island. The event, which is sponsored by the New York Giants, will see the Dolphins make their competitive debut against the Vikings of Villa Maria College. The event will be the first-ever collegiate Women’s Flag Football competition held in New York and will make use of the all-new turf field which was completed on campus last year.
Ahead of the matchup between CSI and Villa Maria, a FREE workout for all pre-registered athletes will be held from 9 AM through 12 PM. The workout will be streamed for colleges not in attendance at the event and will give athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of an audience of college coaches. Following the workout, the Dolphins will play a pair of games against the Vikings with the first beginning at 1 PM and a second to follow at 3 PM.
