Ming Xia, Professor of Political Science at the College of Staten Island, was recently quoted in an article from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). In the article, titled, “Chinese debate Iran crisis as official and public views diverge,” written by Jason Fang and Kai Feng, Xia notes that the situation in Iran might serve as a way to deflect Chinese public opinion from domestic problems.
