Navigate Training (All Users) | Introduction to Navigate

Navigateis a collaborative advisement virtual tool that aims to improve student retention and boost academic success. Tailored for new users or those seeking a refresher, this session introduces the fundamentals of Navigate. We will guide you through how to log in, access student profiles, understand the student view, send communications, document student interactions, and create student lists. Survey said…CSI Faculty voice their opinions about AI

Join us, virtually or in-person, for a presentation of the results from last fall’s faculty survey on AI. Spoiler alert, 55% of respondents shared innovative ways they are using generative AI and other AI tools in their teaching and research. The remaining 45% expressed strong perspectives on why they believe incorporating AI may not be a good idea. Come and hear the details. A full analysis of the survey will be presented by Professor Sarah Zelikovitz, Department of Computer Science.

Digital Publishing Platforms available at CUNY – Manifold, Pressbooks, and CUNY Academic Commons

Please join us, in-person or virtually, to learn about digital publishing platforms available at your fingertips at CUNY. Manifold is being used at CUNY to create beautiful, dynamic, multimedia-rich digital projects that can include text, images, audio, video, and social annotation. During our session we will explore custom versions of public domain texts, textbooks, multi-text course readers, class projects, journals, and more. Pressbooks is a digital WordPress based platform for open publishing with various forms of media and interactive components. It is available to all students, faculty, and staff for free! CUNY Academic Commons is an open platform created and hosted by CUNY that supports groups, websites, and connected groups and sites.
