The College of Staten Island community is invited to join in celebrating, Robert Wallace, President of CSI’s Auxiliary Services Corporation and CSI’s Executive Legal Counsel and Chief Administrator in Charge of Community Partnerships and Government Relationships. who will be recognized as an honoree at the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation‘s (SIEDC) 2026 Liberty & Legacy Gala on Thursday, August 6, at 6:00pm. The annual event celebrates individuals whose leadership and service have made a lasting impact on Staten Island’s civic, educational, and business communities.
The SIEDC has cited Wallace as a driving force behind many of CSI’s operational and capital improvements, helping shape the campus into a modern destination for learning, research, and community engagement. His dedication to enhancing the student experience and strengthening the College’s infrastructure has made him an invaluable member of the CSI leadership team, and this recognition reflects his longstanding commitment to both the College and the borough it proudly serves.
Hosted by SIEDC, the Liberty & Legacy Gala brings together leaders from across Staten Island to celebrate excellence in public service, education, business, and community development. The evening serves as one of the organization’s signature annual events, recognizing those whose work has strengthened the borough while supporting SIEDC’s mission of advancing economic opportunity and community growth.
Other honorees this year include Councilwoman Kamillah Hanks, The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, and Vincent Bonomi, President and Managing Partner of Specialties by TradeMark Graphics. The reception takes place at Angelina’s Restaurant, 399 Ellis Street, Staten Island.
