The College of Staten Island community is invited to explore technology, creativity, and innovation at the launch of the College’s new Tech Lab on Thursday, September 17, from 11am-4pm in 1N-112.
Hosted by the Computer Science Department, the event is open to students of all majors and experience levels, offering an opportunity to step inside the new space and experience a variety of hands-on activities.
Participants can build and program a LEGO® robot, create their own 3D designs and bring them to life with 3D printing, explore virtual reality technology, experiment with recyclable gaming activities, and try their hand at jewelry making. The event is designed to give students a chance to build, create, play, and explore, whether they have extensive technology experience or are simply curious to try something new.
Students can also participate in activities to earn CLUE credit, making the event an opportunity to learn, connect, and have some fun along the way.
The Tech Lab launch is funded by Student Activity Fees and represents another opportunity for CSI students to engage with technology in an accessible, creative, and hands-on environment.
