Attention students. The CSI Student Government nomination period is now open.

The nomination period to run for vacant seats on the current 2026/2027 Student Government is open until 11:59pm on Monday, Sept. 28.. 

Are you interested in being a student leader? Do you want to make a difference and have your voice heard? Do you know a student who would be a great leader? Then nominate yourself or encourage a student to nominate themselves for one of the Student Government Senator, including President and Vice President, and/or Organization Leadership positions. You can make a difference.

There are five vacant Lower Division (6-59.5 credits completed) and one Upper Division (60 and above credits completed) open. Descriptions of these roles/organizations are detailed online.

The nomination form is available on the new CSI Connect. Logging into CSI Connect is required for nominations and voting. Please see the instructions below:

In order to run for and hold these positions, CUNY has set the following eligibility requirements: You must be matriculated in a degree or credit-bearing certificate program at the College of Staten Island; undergraduate students must carry a minimum of six credit hours in Fall 2026 and have a minimum 2.25 GPA; in order to serve each semester, a student must have completed and earned passing grades in at least 50 percent of the credits for which they registered in the prior semester, Spring 2026, but in no event fewer than three credits. Additional eligibility criteria apply, all of which are detailed within the Nomination Form.
