Members of the College of Staten Island community once again participated in Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden’s annual Autumn Moon Festival on Saturday, September 19. Held in the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden, the afternoon celebration marked the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival with cultural performances, interactive demonstrations, hands-on crafts, and opportunities for visitors to explore the garden.
CSI’s Winnie Brophy, Director of Special Programs and Initiatives for the Center for Global Engagement was on hand with CSI students to assist with the festivities, continuing the College’s annual participation in the Staten Island community event. The festival provided students with an opportunity to volunteer, connect with the community, and experience the rich cultural traditions associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
