Earlier this month, the Rest That Stress Club held an event that had students buzzing with excitement. Their “Bedazzle Your Favs” event had free food and drinks for students to enjoy, alongside kits and accessories for everyone to bedazzle.

The event was very hands on and had a laid-back approach. Students were able to get plates, tools, glue, rhinestones, and any object they chose that the club provided for them. There were also a wide variety of colorful rhinestones for students to choose from, and students had the opportunity to be creative and decompress after their classes.

Various students  dropped by enjoy the fun,  either by themselves or with their friends. And it was inclusive to all students, once they came in, they were able to sit and create whatever they wanted.

One student explained that she came with a group of her friends that heard about the event from CSI Connect. They were able to sit together and unwind from their classes while decorating claw clips and hairbrushes.

Others said that they also heard about the event from CSI Connect and were interested in taking part. One attendee said that she had bedazzled before and knew that it was something she would want to attend.

The club is meant to help students de-stress in between their classes throughout the semester, and club members told everyone who attended the event that in the upcoming weeks there will be another event—one where students can decorate pumpkins.

Being in college can be stressful for students, especially those in their first-year who are still adjusting. However, events like these give students a chance to come together and unwind.
