It is with regret, but also with much thanks and appreciation for her contributions to the College of Staten Island, that I announce the resignation of Dr. Jerald Jones-Woolfolk, Vice President for Student Affairs due to health reasons. Although her tenure at CSI was brief, her contributions to the College, to the division, and dedication to our students are memorable. Under her leadership, CSI has won New York City’s “Distinguished Award in Service,” for contributing more than 11,000 hours of volunteer service, and she also brought Donna Brazile, the internationally recognized political commentator to campus as a keynote speaker for the College’s 2010 Student Leadership Conference. Perhaps her most significant contribution to the advancement of CSI has been her leadership in bringing diversity to a new level. She implemented the celebration of diversity heritage months, and she established the first Martin Luther King Convocation. Jerald truly embraced the philosophy, “No one is invisible at CSI.”
Please join me in thanking Jerald for advancing the mission of the College and in wishing her the best in all future endeavors.
