I am pleased to announce the selection of Hope Berte as the New Director of Human Resources for the College of Staten Island. Ms. Berte was CSI’s Associate Director of Human Resources since 2006 and most recently served as the College’s Interim Director of Human Resources.
Ms. Berte has had oversight of the University’s CUNYfirst initiative, a new Human Resources management system from Oracle/PeopleSoft. Ms. Berte has functioned as the College’s CUNYfirst liaison with the Central Office as well as the campus resource leader and trainer. Her commitment has been instrumental in the implementation of CUNYfirst. CSI’s efforts are considered outstanding by CUNY Central due to Ms. Berte’s commitment and abilities as a trainer and resource.
Prior to coming to CSI in 2006, Ms. Berte was the Director of Human Resources for The Institute for Community Living, Inc., where she worked for 13 years.
Ms. Berte’s professional background, energy, and vision will continue to be an asset to the College’s Office of Human Resources. Her forward-thinking approach to management will continue to improve the services provided by her office and staff.
