The Division of Student Affairs will host the Hispanic Heritage Month kick-off event, ” Nuestra Tierra: Un Homenaje A La Cultura Latino-Americana (Our Homeland: A Tribute to Latin American Culture)” on Wednesday, September 15 in the Center for the Arts Recital Hall from 2:30pm to 3:15pm.
This educational celebration of Latin American Cultures will include the cultural experiences of Latinos and Latinas living in the United States, whose families may have been in the U.S. for many generations. Faculty, staff, and a community leaders will share the beauty and some of the struggles of the Latin American experience.
