Harry Thorne (Lecturer) has taught at the College of Staten Island for nine years as an adjunct and substitute lecturer in English. He is interested in developing pedagogical practices that foster critical thinking and enable composition students to engage more readily with academic ideas. He received his Master’s Degree in English from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, where he also spent two years on a Ph.D. program, specializing in critical theory and contemporary literature. He also taught for a year at the University of Kingston in London.
