The College of Staten Island is delighted to announce an upcoming event designed to provide essential guidance on financial aid and offer a glimpse into the vibrant campus life at CSI. The event, scheduled for June 1, 2024, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, is open to all students and families, whether they have applied to CSI or not, reflecting CSI’s commitment as a steward of the Borough.

Event Overview

Attendees will have the chance to participate in guided campus tours and gain insights into academic programs. Additionally, as a service to the community, financial aid professionals will conduct workshops to assist students on completing the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA), which all students must complete to receive Federal funding regardless of which institution they eventually attend. The event aims to empower students and families by providing them with valuable information to make informed decisions about their academic and financial future.  Please note that we have dedicated a special information session for non-traditional or adult students returning to the classroom.

Support Services and Insights

In addition to the FAFSA completion workshops and campus tours, representatives from various student support offices will be available to offer valuable insights into the comprehensive support services offered by CSI. These offices include Tutoring, Study Abroad, Advising, Childcare Center, Career Center, Accessibility, Student Life, and Dolphin Cove, highlighting the comprehensive approach to student success at CSI.

Event Schedule

Check-in for all sessions will be in Building 2A of the CSI campus. The event schedule is as follows:

  • 10:00am: Information Session and Campus Tours, FAFSA Completion Workshop
  • Noon: Information Session and Campus Tours, Special Session for Adult Students, Session for Traditional Students and Families, FAFSA Completion Workshop
