Dean Balsamini, director of the Small Business Development Center at the College of Staten Island, was honored in June by the State of New York Grievance Committee for his four years of outstanding service.

In New York State, authority over the conduct of attorneys rests with the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. The grievance committee reviews and investigates complaints of misconduct against attorneys and recommends disposition according to its findings.

Judge William Mastro and Judge John Fusco nominated Balsamini as a member of the State of New York Grievance Committee for the 2nd & 11th District. Judge A. Gail Prudente, Presiding Justice Appellate Division, appointed him.

In addition to running the CSI SBDC, Balsamini is an Adjunct Professor of Marketing in the Business Department at CSI, President-Elect of the South Shore Rotary, Board Member of the S.I. Children’s Campaign, and member of various business and non-profit organizations on Staten Island.
