The Staten Island Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Center, an initiative of Community Health Action of Staten Island, is sponsoring the sixth annual Staten Island Pride Parade and Festival, to be held on Saturday, June 5.
The parade will start at noon on Central Avenue between Slosson Terrace and Hyatt Street, follow through the streets of St. George and culminate with a festival from 1:00pm to 5:00pm in Tompkinsville Park, at the corner of Victory Boulevard and Bay Street (accessible by the S46, S48, S51, S61, S62, S66, S74, S76, and S78 buses and the SIRT – Tompkinsville Station, or a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry terminal).
Food, music, entertainment, community resource/information tables and vendor merchandise will be available throughout the afternoon for all to enjoy.
It would be wonderful to have a huge showing of CSI students, faculty, and staff at the Staten Island Pride parade. Our own Professor Katie Cumiskey and her wife, Robin, are the Parade Marshals this year.
Please encourage your family and friends to come show their support for LGBTQ communities.
The first 100 CSI folks to arrive will receive a free CSI t-shirt.
