The Board of Trustees of The City University of New York has approved the participation of The City University of New York, including the senior and community colleges, in the Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERI) provided by both Part A and Part B of Chapter 105 of the Laws of 2010.

Part A is a traditional incentive of additional service for members of NYC TRS, NYCERS, BERS, or additional contribution for members of TIAA/CREF. Employees must be at least age 50 and have at least 10 years of service. (Note statutory benefit reduction may apply below age 62).

Part B permits members of NYC TRS, NYCERS, and BERS who are age 55 or older with at least 25 years of service to retire without a benefit reduction that would ordinarily apply to someone below age 62.

In preparation for the ERI-2010, CUNY will be holding informational meetings CUNYwide. The College of Staten Island will be hosting an ERI-2010 informational meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Williamson Theatre from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Representatives from NYC TRS, NYCERS, TIAA/CREF, BERS, DC 37, PSC, Medicare, the and Social Security Administration will be attending this session.
