Are you curious about Tai Chi, the very slow movement exercise that is supposed to be so good for stress relief, balance, and other health issues?

Try it yourself at a lunch-time class on campus, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm to 1:00pm for eight weeks from Tuesday, Aug. 10 through Thursday, September 30.

During the class you will learn about the elements and principles of Tai Chi, what makes it such a powerful health tool, a short form that you can practice long after the session ends, and qigong exercises to revitalize you any time of the day.

The course – Introduction to the Elements of Tai Chi – will be taught outside, taking advantage of campus greenery. Flat shoes, loose fitting clothing, and an open mind are the only equipment necessary. The class will meet in front of Building 3N.

Participants will need a valid CSI student ID, valid Sports and Recreation membership card, or day pass.

This class is sponsored by the CSI Sports and Recreation Center Group Fitness Program.
