During these hard economic times you are invited to join The Malave Fellows Project’s and Hillel Club’s Holiday Season Coat Drive to benefit charitable non-profit organizations such as Women-In-Need (a homeless shelter for Women and children) and New York Cares ( which perpetuates a program that distribute coats to homeless men, women, and children in New York City).
Please bring new or gently used coats, sweaters, scarves, and gloves to the designated box which is located in the Campus Center (Building 1C) on the first floor near the security desk, or to Building 1C, Room 202.
The last day to collect all items is Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, so that they may be distributed during the month of December to charitable organizations.
The Ernesto Malave Leadership Academy is a growing resource for all CUNY students, faculty, and staff. The program fosters a center for global leadership research, education, and development, while working to build upon CUNY’s great tradition of service to our community, New York City. The three core programs of the Academy are the Malave Fellows Program, the signature program of the Academy; the CUNY Ambassadors Program, which focuses on leadership through advocacy; and CUNY Corps, which focuses on leadership through service.
Hillel Club is the foundation for Jewish Life on Campus. Hillel spans across all 50 U.S. states, as well as abroad. The organization’s mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish Undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and their world. Hillel staff can be found here at CSI, in the Multi-faith office on the second floor of the Campus Center in Building 1C, Room 212.
