College of Staten Island women conquered City Tech on Friday evening, 75-33, to extend their CUNYAC record to 4-6.
 
The Dolphins 18-2 run in the opening 8 minutes were enough to set the pace of the game. CSI held the Yellow Jackets to 13 points in the first half and proceeded to extend their lead as high as 28 to finish the half, 41-13.
 
A quick 6-0 to start for City Tech was not enough to give them a boost. CSI held them to 6 points in the final 8 minutes of play as they took their best lead of 44 with a minute remaining.
 
Allie Shanahan led with 25 points (7-for-9 from three point range) and 12 rebounds while Katelyn Hepworth added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Jaclyn Tocco had 13 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Rachel Rosado added 11 points.
 
Erica Simon had 10 points for City Tech while Kimberly Battle and Datarra Darden added 6 points apiece.
 
The Dolphins are back in action on Monday, February 7 as they host York College at 5:30 pm. the game is part of CSI’s Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day.
